The plan of a lost soul.
Good afternoon everybody! Today is the last English blog, is it a sad day? Possibly... The topic is interesting? Of course. Since I am a college student, I've heard a question repeatedly, and I've never found a specific answer: What do you plan to do after graduation?

After I get my degree, (as I mentioned in the previous blog) I would like to continue studying for a postgraduate degree; I have not yet decided on a specific specialty but I have some in mind, such as orthodontics, pediatric dentistry and forensic dentistry, but lately I'm more interested in this last option, because in my opinion it is a very important branch of dentistry, because as you know, thanks to techniques of forensic dentistry is that indirectly was founded our faculty, thanks to German Valenzuela Basterrica, who identified a body by analyzing the teeth of this and avoided a war of interests with Germany (a long history...). This is very interesting for me because I could help identify bodies, learn how to identify the age of a person and the dental injuries that he also has, developing as a detective but specialized in the bucco-pharyngeal area (worthy of a mystery movie hehe).
First I would like to study in Chile, obtaining the specialty and then to do a master abroad, to go with a base already defined to study in countries as they can be London and Berlin, where the scientific advances have an accelerated rate, since these places have instruments to make investigations of first level, and that is something that attracts to me very much. If time allows me, I would work part-time to be able to obtain income and save for a future scientific trip to unknown lands, however this is not a disadvantage, because it would help me grow and develop as a professional, that is why it is worth doing.

I hope to be able to fulfill this idea that I have to help in this area of dentistry, that little by little is gaining more importance and the due recognition that it deserves, although as I mentioned before, I still do not decide, so... Who knows? maybe during these years that I have left I will change my mind and maybe what crazy things I will do, I just hope I can help people, that is the most important thing <3
OMG! How great the idea of forensic dentistry, 😱 it is very interesting, I hope you meet this goal, success in everything!
